Brief
This studio was about expressing material connections and critical details that embody the concept of the project.
The task was to design a temporary pavilion to exhibit the the Potzamparc Masterplan
proposal for renovating the surrounding European Quartier. In 2007 the site was the location of over 700 protests,
many of which were against EU policies.
I responded to this political atmosphere with a narrative about the fragmented nature of the EU;
how the nations have drifted apart from differences in opinion,
but are shaped such that someday they could still drift back together. There is a central platform for the protesters,
which is the only permanent part of the proposal.
